We had a wonderful Christmas Eve Party at the Long's house this year with my brother Brad and Sister Elisa and her family in town visiting. (FYI - the pictures uploaded backwards and I am not taking time to put them back in order so there is a bit of jumping around on this post. Feel free to read from the bottom up!)
Practicing the song "Old Fashioned Christmas" before performing for our parents - Brady was able to videotape everyone singing and put it up on Youtube for mom and dad to watch as they are so far away. It was fun to have such a large group singing one of my dad's favorite Christmas songs!
The boys on the couch sang beautifully!
Amy and Maren during the reading of the Nativity story in Luke Chapter 2. We went around the room and everyone took turns reading a verse.
Sharing music and more song practice
Sean, Kara, Jake, Parker, Alex and Brad singing
Rebecca found the nativity set and Brady had to watch her close so nothing was broken. Also, special thanks to Amy for accompanying this wild bunch! She did awesome!
Elisa showing her mad piano playing skills!
The awesome women singing in the choir - Amy, Ashley, Megan, Kara and Katie
And Brad...just because.
Emily found dessert!
During our game of Apples to Apples, Sam gave a hilarious answer that had to do with the beefy, hunky NYPD police officers (from a poster he had seen at Walmart) and my sister Amy was in tears laughing!!! It was a truly hilarious moment for all at the adult table! She almost peed her pants!
Kara, Megan and Amy - my awesome nieces!
Elisa and Dan lookin' good!
Amy and Alex - inseparable cousins
Rebecca and Kylie had fun hopping down the stairs!
It was our first time meeting Sean, Kara's husband and he passed the test! He's a keeper and we hope to see much more of those two in the future!
The Teen counter for our feast!
Smiling Ashley missing her boyfriend
Parker helping cut up Bex's food at the kiddie table for me.
The girls - Katie, Emily, Kylie and Maren
A meal would not be a meal without Bex picking her nose of course! Yum!
The hunks - Parker and Brad
Ham and potato feast
Nothing could feel better this holiday season than to share these moments with my family! We love living close to my sister and brother and felt so blessed to have the Roger's from Utah join us this year! We shared many laughs and created lasting memories! Happy Holidays to all!
