The first of January found us jumping in the car for a fun adventure! Headed out towards Huntsville to check out the big white man statue!
Couple of nose pickers
Cuties on the mini statue
Katie practiced her photography skills
We love being in love!
Bex sneaking a piggy back ride
Boosting Emily up
Boosting Matthew
Jump!!!
Boosting Katie up
The girls on Sam Houston's backside
Sam, after boosting all the kids up onto the statue - a little dramatic, but he is a good sport!
It is amazing how huge this statue is!
Katie posing
I need to learn more about this great man and the legacy he has left in Texas!
Emily and Katie on the left with Matthew and Bex on the right
We are always trying to hide from the kids, but they always seem to find us!
We are obviously not sneaky enough!
My Love
The kids had fun collecting leaves and branches up on the statue
Emily of course found a caterpillar on this pinecone
Cute Katie
Rebecca always has that dancing itch wherever she may be!
My favorite family shot
Cute too, but the lighting was not great.
Everyone had to say good-bye to the mini Sam Houston head before we left.
Katie, Emily and Bex playing choo-choo train around the base of the statue.
Shoulder riding Matthew
We ended our evening on the porch swing of the information center.
We started our adventure at Buc-ees - it was our first time going there to eat and the kids were thrilled with the slurpees and fudge!
A little bit of each flavor is the best!
Katie and Emily chowing down their hot dogs!
We all want matching Buc-ees T-Shirts!
We had a long road trip and found this abandoned shed and could not pass up the opportunity for a family photo shoot!
Love these smiles!
Sam gave us the grand tour at Huntsville starting with the famous prison. Then we headed back on the freeway to see the huge Sam Houston Statue. Sorry these are out of order again, but we actually did Buc-ees first, then the statue. I will figure out how to post large amounts of pictures correctly someday!
